The Sphinx II Chapter of the American Business Women's Association is the reformation of the Sphinx Chapter. The Sphinx II Chapter was chartered on December 2, 1996 with twenty-eight members. The Snapfinger Woods Chapter was the sponsoring chapter.

The chapter has been involved in many community service projects, such as donating food to a homeless shelter, donating toys at Christmas to the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, participating in the telethon for the Georgia Public Television (GPTV) and a telethon for the Children's Miracle Network (which supports Eggleston/Scottish Rite Hospital for children). We have awarded six scholarships to deserving college students. We have made financial contributions to the APEX Museum, the Children's Miracle Network and to five families who lost their homes during a terrible tornado in Alabama. We have worked as volunteers for the Black Arts Festival, the Black Family Reunion, and the APEX Museum. We have raised funds for the Aids Walk, the Sickle Cell Road Race, the 100 Black Men of Dekalb County Ride for Charity, the BMW Drive for Breast Cancer, and Hands on Atlanta. We have delivered hot meals to the elderly through the Dekalb County Meals on Wheels project and Ensure milk to senior citizens by way of the Senior Connections Program.

ABWA is an association full of opportunities for members to grow both personally and professionally. ABWA membership
is a key to success for all working women. We now have over forty members.

Together, with Sphinx II's energy, enthusiasm, and achievements, we can build a bright, exciting future for SPHINX II CHAPTER of the American Business Women's Association.
